Electrical Design Engineer (11kv)
Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a knack for 11kv systems?
Toro Recruitment is partnered with an Independent Connections Provider that is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in 11kv/33kv Power Design. The position of Electrical Design Engineer entails creating budget-friendly ICP designs that adhere to regulations and fulfill client anticipations during both the bidding and construction stages. This role involves collaborating with sales and operational teams to secure project victories and guarantee the highest quality implementation of technical solution designs.
Responsibilities:
* Develop cost-effective, compliant electrical ICP (LV up to 33kv) network designs.
* Specify required materials and resources for accurate estimates and procurement.
* Maintain ICP and UIP design specifications in line with network standards and regulations.
* Collaborate with the technical solutions team to acquire budget quotes/offers (POC)
* Design solutions that meet customer needs at minimal net cost, providing alternatives when suitable.
* Prepare comprehensive design packs for delivery team handover.
* Enhance team's ICP design knowledge, review/approve colleagues' designs, and provide constructive feedback.
* Attend client meetings to support project acquisition and execution.
* Ensure designs adhere to CDM regulations, and fulfill Designer responsibilities.
Requirements:
* Proven track record in providing quality designs optimised for value, encompassing both tender and ultimate construction phases for ICP undertakings up to 11kv.
* A specialist in electrical systems, preferably holding a degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
* Comprehensive familiarity with pertinent regulations, encompassing G81 as well as typical NERS design criteria.
* Proficient in utilising standard design applications like AutoCAD or Amtech.
