Description:

Responsibilities:

Ensure project engineering activities, under their responsibility, comply with company guidelines and support overall the engineering team.

Design PV power plants & BEES projects and carry out energy yields and solar resource assessments in accordance to given guidelines.

Help project team to develop specifications to optimize PV power plant design including, but not limited to, component selection, module string sizing, layout design, collector routing design, conductor sizing, etc.

Produce and interpret technical drawings for solar power plants on CAD software.

Develop PV power plant corresponding single line diagrams.

Extract quantities from existing drawings.

Create technical presentation for the produced design.

Carry our site land surveys and prepare site survey reports.

Coordinate engineering related tasks with third party consultants when required.

Delegated to interface with all engineering departments/disciplines as required.

Requirements:

Adequate technical knowledge of PV power plants, battery energy storage and basic electrical engineering concepts.

Able to extract technical data from equipment data sheets and project documents.

Preferably a degree level qualification associated with electrical power systems and/or electrical engineering / renewable energy engineering.

Previous experience in the design and construction of PV solar plant is a plus.

Education & Training:

Holding a bachelor’s degree in electrical / electronic engineering. While working towards a master’s degree in engineering (Electrical, renewable energy) would be an asset.

Experience with CAD and GIS software (AutoCAD, QGIS)

Basic knowledge of PVsyst / PV Case is an asset.

Microsoft Office proficient, including high proficiency in Excel.

Languages:

Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
