Job Title: Electrical Craft Team Member (Shifts)

Location: Hartlepool, North East

Salary: £45,345 basic (inclusive of shift allowance), rising to £49,807 upon demonstration of site-specific competencies, plus quarterly bonus

Permanent | Full time

Shift Pattern: 12-hour days and nights (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off)

Sector: Manufacturing, Steel

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Craft Team Member to join a busy engineering team within a leading manufacturing environment in Hartlepool. This role offers the chance to work as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team, providing critical maintenance support to ensure plant reliability, maximise production uptime, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

This position is ideal for a qualified electrical maintenance engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and working within a fast-paced industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities on production equipment.
Provide first-line electrical fault-finding expertise to minimise plant downtime and maintain operational performance.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a variety of plant and machinery.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance process control systems and equipment reliability.
Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to deliver robust engineering solutions.
Ensure repairs are completed to a high standard to prevent recurrence of faults.
About You

We're looking for a proactive maintenance professional who can bring a strong problem-solving mindset and a commitment to engineering excellence.

You should have:

A completed electrical apprenticeship or recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or equivalent).
Previous experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment, ideally heavy engineering.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable Experience

Experience with any of the following would be highly advantageous:

Industrial and commercial electrical wiring.
Overhead cranes and associated safety systems.
Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs, including HMI systems.
AC and DC motor and gearbox drive systems.
Variable speed drives, inverters, converters and speed feedback devices.
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings.
Safety-related control systems.
