Electrical Controls Engineer

We’re recruiting for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join a well-established engineering business in Nottingham.

This is a broad, hands-on role combining controls engineering, electrical design, project delivery and technical leadership within a specialist machinery environment.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

* Electrical and controls engineering across bespoke machinery projects

* PLC-controlled systems and automated equipment

* Electrical design and control panel development

* Supporting machinery build, test and commissioning

* Working closely with mechanical and project engineering teams

* Fault finding and technical problem solving

* Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion

* Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers where required

* Taking ownership of controls-related project activity

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in engineers with experience across areas such as:

* PLC programming and diagnostics

* Electrical control systems

* Control panel design

* Automation and special purpose machinery

* Robotics

* Conveyors and automated handling equipment

* Machine build and commissioning

* Electrical CAD

* Mechatronics

* Project engineering

You may currently be working as a:

* Controls Engineer

* Electrical Controls Engineer

* Senior Electrical Engineer

* Electrical Project Engineer

* Automation Engineer

* Controls Team Leader

Package

Salary: £48,000 – £55,000
