Are you an Electrical Contracts Manager with estimating experience? Are you looking for a company to offer up skilling and training?

Our client is looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager in London who will be working directly for and reporting to the line Director.

Hours

Monday to Friday

Pay – up to £55k

Responsibilities

•Delivering multiple projects and small works at the same time, from inception to final account in accordance with BS7671 and all electrical installation industry required paperwork.

•Achieving an average turn over sales value of TBA / month totalling to a minimum of TBA per annum.

•Retaining existing and new clients by providing high quality on time service.

•Working closely with company’s Directors, contract managers and engineers, to carry out all aspect’s electrical projects and small works.

•Carrying out electrical estimates up to £80,000.00 in value.

•Achieving calculated levels of profit. The profit figure is to be agreed prior to start of a project and placement of purchase orders, with directors as detailed on E V Bullen EPP sales breakdown sheet.

•Maximising and ensuring profit on all jobs via labour, material cost control andmaximising profit by way of good value engineering and variation

•Ensuring clients are regularly met and spoken with, to measure performance feedback, ensuring tasks are completed, emails and phone calls are responded to and advise directors early on opportunities and problems / issues.

•Making sure sub-contractors have back-to-back contract with E V Bullen and receive full contractual package including contract, drawings, program, EVB subcontract agreement and that they produce all necessary H&S documentation prior to starting.

•Being reactive and responsive to all communications e.g. phone / email / text.

•Carrying out Project Cost Reporting (PCR) with MD/Directors/ senior managers before starting work. To be explained as part of induction.

•Attending weekly progress meetings with office staff.

•Leading to inspire and discipline engineers if required.

•Carrying out ongoing high level of quality checks on all work to ensure BS 7671 compliance and high quality recognised by clients and the industry.

Daily responsibilities

* Meeting regularly on site with clients to quote, promote works and secure more business.

* Carrying out all necessary electrical management and estimating development as required.

* Agreeing labour cost control with engineers for electrical maintenance and small works

* Managing all elements of electrical projects and small works from inception to final account and end of defects.

* Carrying out value engineering at outset of project to maximise profit.

* Preparing materials lists for the purchase department.

* Submitting and agreeing project valuation accounts to finance

* Overseeing and managing variation accounts.

* Managing projects from the beginning to the final account.

* Developing a rapport with clients and develop repeat business noting this is a key performance indicator in our business model

* Attending pre-tender interviews and associated contract meetings.

Skills required

Problem solving and open communication with different levels accross the business ad clients

Expert in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, MS project and working knowledge of AutoCAD.

To be aware of contract law and form of contract noting to request company surveyor involvement as and when required.

Qualified to BS 7671 , JIB/ ECS and current gold card , CSCS card, BS 2391.

Extensive understanding of industry standard Health and Safety Law and Quality Assurance.

Excellent client PR skills.
