Contracts Manager – Electrical & Renewable Energy

Norfolk | UK-Wide Projects | Permanent | Salary & Package DOE

Anglian Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established and growing Electrical & Renewable Energy contractorfor an experienced Contracts Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute and proactive Contracts Manager to take ownership of multiple projects across the UK, covering Solar PV, Battery Storage (BESS), EV Infrastructure and Commercial Electrical installations.

We are looking for someone who goes beyond simply administering projects. You will be expected to drive programme, cost, procurement, subcontractor performance and client satisfaction, identifying potential risks early and putting solutions in place before they impact delivery.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Director, you will take responsibility for projects from contract award through to successful completion, with financial and operational control across your portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing multiple electrical and renewable energy projects simultaneously

*

Full ownership of project programmes, budgets, resources and delivery

*

Financial monitoring, forecasting, cost control and value reporting

*

Producing and maintaining detailed programmes and look-ahead plans

*

Identifying commercial, programme and operational risks before they impact delivery

*

Managing procurement and ensuring materials are ordered in line with programme requirements

*

Managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams

*

Monitoring project progress, costs and forecasts

*

Managing contract administration and ensuring contractual obligations are met

*

Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors

*

Managing variations, valuations and commercial matters

*

Maintaining project risk registers and implementing appropriate controls

*

Ensuring projects comply with regulations and company procedures

*

Maintaining high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance

*

Undertaking site inspections and ensuring appropriate H&S documentation is maintained

*

Supporting and managing project delivery teams

*

Ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to programme

About You

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

*

Proven Contracts Manager experience within Electrical, M&E or Renewable Energy contracting

*

Extensive experience managing commercial electrical installation projects

*

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financials

*

Experience with cost control, forecasting, valuations and contract administration

*

Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and site teams

*

Strong programme management and forward-planning ability

*

Good knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management and risk management

*

Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and supply chains

*

Excellent client-facing and negotiation skills

*

Strong leadership and people-management experience

*

A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work with minimal supervision

*

SMSTS and CSCS

*

Relevant electrical/construction qualifications advantageous

Location: Norfolk-based, with travel to projects across the UK
