Description:
As Electrical Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of electrical construction activities across the project.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing and coordinating the delivery of electrical installation works across the project.
* Providing leadership to electrical site teams, supervisors, engineers and specialist subcontractors.
* Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, RAMS and project requirements.
* Planning and coordinating electrical works to meet programme and key project milestones.
* Working closely with the Project Manager and wider construction team to ensure effective coordination of M&E activities.
* Managing electrical subcontractors and supply chain partners, ensuring performance, productivity and quality requirements are achieved.
* Reviewing construction methodologies, programmes, RAMS and technical documentation.
* Monitoring progress and reporting against programme requirements.
* Coordinating with design teams to resolve technical queries, design changes and site issues.
* Ensuring installations are completed to the required quality standards and are fully compliant with project specifications.
* Working closely with the QA/QC team to ensure inspection and testing requirements are achieved.
* Supporting commissioning, testing, snagging and handover activities.
* Managing interfaces between electrical systems, mechanical services, civil works and other disciplines.
* Ensuring all works are undertaken in accordance with relevant rail projects
* Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
* Attending progress, coordination and stakeholder meetings as required.
Ideally, you will have:
* Proven experience managing electrical construction activities on large-scale projects.
* A strong electrical engineering or installation background.
* Experience working within rail, infrastructure or other highly regulated environments.
* Experience managing electrical subcontractors and specialist supply chains.
* Strong understanding of construction programmes, sequencing and project delivery.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
* Experience with RAMS, permits, inspections, testing and quality processes.
* Strong understanding of health & safety requirements within a construction environment.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
* The ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple work fronts effectively.
