Electrical Certification Engineer - REMOTE - Business Class Seating - Aerospace
Certification Engineers are responsible for developing and executing certification programs to demonstrate compliance to regulatory and OEM requirements in a leading function. They support their colleagues and co-workers in achieving individual and department results and is first point of contact in all functional certification related questions for internal and external parties.
* Subject Matter Expert in product certification issues (Business Class Seating)
* Ensures compliance with regulatory, project and customer requirements and certification of products.
* Develops and elaborates solutions for complex issues in the certification process in line with our business objectives and based on established precedents.
* Shares and establishes best practices derived from this locally as well as at international locations.
* Ensure that processes and documents are in line with the latest industry developments.
* Reviews prototype designs and drawings and identifying necessary changes.
* Develops and manages tools and processes to track certification results, testing, and compliance findings to ensure timely completion of certifications.
* Technical and process contact for certifications of products, especially for project managers and engineers.
* Supports Certification Engineers as well as their work within project teams.
* Identifies certification problems and their adverse effects on the project.
* Responsible for corresponding reporting to the responsible departments and deriving solutions together with the Certification Engineers.
* As a technical liaison and representative of the department management, works closely with airlines, OEMs, installers, aviation authorities and suppliers to ensure compliance with project plan.
* Represents the company at customer or other industry related meetings.
* Integral part of the Certification team, supporting colleagues as needed and protecting the confidentiality of the Company's information and products.
* Deputy to department lead in case of absence.
Experience:
* Minimum +5 years of experience in relevant field
* Experience in working closely with EASA and FAA
