Electrical Bias Building Services Engineer
Location: Bank, London
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE + Package
A well-established Mechanical & Electrical contractor with a strong family culture is looking for an experienced Electrical Bias Building Services Engineer to take full responsibility for the day-to-day engineering maintenance of a prestigious static site in Bank, London.
This is a standalone, autonomous position, ideal for an experienced engineer who is confident working independently and taking ownership of the site. You will act as the sole engineer on site, managing planned and reactive maintenance across the building while being the key engineering point of contact for the client.
The Role

Take full ownership of the site's day-to-day M&E maintenance requirements
Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance and fault finding across electrical and mechanical systems
Maintain and monitor BMS front-end systems
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults, ensuring systems remain safe, compliant and operational
Carry out maintenance on mechanical plant, including AHUs and FCUs
Undertake emergency lighting testing and inspections and water temperature monitoring
Complete minor fabric and plumbing repairs where required
Respond to reactive maintenance issues and ensure faults are resolved efficiently
Liaise directly with the client, providing a professional and proactive engineering service
Manage day-to-day engineering priorities independently, escalating issues appropriately when specialist support is required
Maintain accurate records of completed works and ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with relevant procedures and legislationYou will ideally have:

Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Strong experience within commercial building services/ facilities maintenance
Proven experience in PPM, reactive maintenance and electrical and mechanical fault finding
Good working knowledge of mechanical building services
Experience working with or monitoring BMS systems
The confidence to work as a sole engineer, managing your own workload and prioritising tasks effectively
A professional approach with the ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships, coupled with strong communication skills
Good IT skills; experience with Job Logic would be advantageous
The ability to identify issues, make informed decisions and take ownership of problems through to resolution
Previous experience working within a high-end commercial environment would be beneficialWhat's on Offer
