Job Title: Elearning Support Officer
Location: Oxford Road, Manchester
Remuneration: Paying up to £34,980 per annum, depending on relevant experience
Contract Details: Fixed Term for 12 months, 35 hours per week (1 FTE)

Our client, a leading educational institution, is seeking an energetic and experienced eLearning Support Officer to join their team. As the eLearning Support Officer, you will play a vital role in developing innovative e-learning activities, resources, and support for the university. With excellent communication skills and a knack for problem-solving, you will contribute to enhancing the student experience and empower staff with effective learning technologies.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to an environment that values and celebrates diversity.
Assist in planning, designing, and developing high-quality eLearning resources.
Provide guidance and demonstrations on using technology in teaching, learning, and assessment.
Support the Teaching, Learning, and Students team in delivering a customer-focused service.
Assist staff in using the University's digital learning environment.
Participate in a University-wide eLearning network.
Support staff with administrative activities related to eLearning.
Continuously engage in professional development
Ensure compliance with university policies and requirements.
Perform other duties associated with the role.
Overall purpose of the job:
Work under the direction of the eLearning Manager (or delegate) to develop innovative e-learning activities, resources, and support.
Develop e-learning materials that enhance the student experience.
Maintain responsibility for the online element of the library's skills programme(s)
Support colleagues in using learning technologies effectively.
Actively participate as a member of the Library's Teaching, Learning, and Students team
Requirements:
Proven initiative and judgement to resolve daily problems independently or with the support of the team.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of HTML and CSS
Willingness to undertake professional development.
Experience in working on eLearning projects and delivering successful outcomes.
Familiarity with software, web applications, and technology for learning
Desirable:
Awareness of instructional design principles relevant to eLearning
Experience with Blackboard Learn or similar learning management systems.
User experience/accessibility design or testing experience.
Video and audio production experience
Coding experience in JavaScript or other scripting languages
