EHS Advisor – WFH with travel to site – South East

LDNY People are currently partnered with a leading Engineering and construction business, considered a market leader within the UK construction sector.

Well established with ambitious growth plans, they have a very strong reputation within major projects, with a particular emphasis on the Clean Energy, Defence, transport and Commercial.

Due to ongoing growth plans and a need to strengthen their team in the South of England, they are looking to recruit an EHS Advisor to join the business, this is a remote/WFH role but will require travel to site in the South East of England.

This company are involved in the delivery of some of the largest live projects in the UK, this is a great chance to be involved in high profile projects offering a clear path of career progression, long term work in a diverse, forward thinking company.

EHS Advisor Role Requirements:

* Maintain injury free workplaces where everybody goes home safely

* Ensure safe working in all company workplaces without harm to people, property or the environment

* Provide company management with Competent EHS advice and guidance

* Ensure the continuous Improvement of health, safety & environment

* Drive a culture of safety throughout the business and sites.

* Production, review and monitoring of safety documentation specific for the site.

* Implement company ‘Core Values’

* Actively encourage implementation of company ‘Best Practice / Best Known Methods’

* Implement company, client and legislative EHS requirements

* Ensure company EHS policies and procedures meet legislative requirements

* Undertake health, safety and environmental audits

* Implement safe working procedures for the management of activities for operatives and staff

* Undertake incident investigation and reporting, where required

* Prepare monthly safety reports for senior management meetings identifying key issues, initiatives and safety performance.

* Provide EHS advice, coaching, training, information and guidance

* Facilitate the company safety objectives, promoting safety awareness and ownership.

* Remain knowledgeable of current legislation, initiatives and best practice within the field of manufacturing and construction health, safety and environmental management.

* Implement measures to ensure that all accidents, incidents and injuries are reported and recorded.

EHS Advisor Role Requirements:

* NEBOSH General / Construction Occupational H&S Certificate

* IOSH Membership – GradIOSH minimum

* Skills Certification Scheme card holder (CSCS)

* Construction Site EHS experience

* Knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation, CDM Regulations.

* Computer literate, as minimum Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint
