Description:

EHCP Coordinator
Term-time only | Minimum 30 hours/week over 39 weeks | Spine Point 27 | Based across 2 sites

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EHCP Coordinator to join a dedicated Learning Support team, working across two sites. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about ensuring young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and High Needs receive the right support to thrive in their education.

Acting as Lead Professional, you will manage a caseload of students, coordinating the EHCP Annual Review process from start to finish and ensuring every student has the bespoke support they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities:

Coordinate and chair the EHCP Annual Review process for an assigned caseload, ensuring all statutory deadlines, legal frameworks, and quality standards are consistently met
Gather input from students, parents, and staff ahead of reviews, and complete post-review documentation within required timeframes
Ensure appropriate, individual support plans are established for EHCP students within 6 weeks of starting their programme
Liaise closely with external professionals - including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists - as well as Local Authorities and Statutory Assessment Teams
Work with curriculum, careers, admissions, and student services teams across both sites to ensure a joined-up approach to student support
Support students transitioning into or within the organisation, including attending school annual reviews, transition meetings, and welcome/enrolment events
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across MIS platforms (e.g. ProSolutions, Pro-Monitor) and contribute to funding requests and Local Authority returns, including top-up funding applications
Provide cover for colleagues chairing annual reviews when needed, and support wider team training and development

What we're looking for:

Proven experience working within SEND/EHCP processes, ideally within a post-16, Further Education, or similar setting
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a demanding caseload across multiple sites against statutory deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising across a wide range of stakeholders - parents, external agencies, and multi-disciplinary professional teams
A sound understanding of safeguarding principles and their application to vulnerable groups
A collaborative, proactive approach and genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people with additional needs
A willingness and ability to travel between sites as required

What's on offer:

Local Government Pension Scheme
Employee assistance programme, including access to counselling support
Subsidised eye tests and prescription lenses for VDU users
Free on-site parking
Access to ongoing staff development and training funding
The opportunity to make a genuine, lasting difference in the lives of young people with additional needs
