The role - Educational Psychologist

We are looking for an Educational Psychologist to join a well-established and developing service supporting children, young people, families and educational settings across Bedfordshire.

You will use psychological knowledge and evidence-based approaches to help schools and families understand children's needs, identify strengths and develop effective support.

Your work will include a varied combination of:

Psychological consultation and assessment.
Observation and direct work with children and young people.
Statutory and EHCP-related work.
Multi-agency meetings and joint planning.
Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive outcomes.
Advising schools around SEND provision.
Delivering training and sharing psychological knowledge.
Supporting whole-school and wider SEND development.
Contributing to research and service improvement.

About you

You will need:

A professional qualification in Educational Psychology.
HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
Strong consultation, assessment and communication skills.
A child-centred and solution-focused approach.
The ability to work effectively with schools, families and professionals across different services.
A commitment to inclusive, evidence-based psychological practice.
