If so, Dunbar Education Recruitment Agency is looking for an enthusiastic Education Learning Mentor to join a dedicated team within a SEN school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementing a therapeutic approach to support the emotional and educational needs of pupils with SEN.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with pupils, providing guidance and support.
Fulfilling duties akin to a mentor rather than a traditional SEN Teaching Assistant role.
Working with secondary age pupils to facilitate their learning and development.
Working hours are fixed from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, non-negotiable.Requirements:
Experience working within a Special Educational Needs environment, particularly with pupils experiencing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
A therapeutic approach to supporting pupils, with a focus on their emotional well-being.
Implement positive reinforcement strategies effectively.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.
Access to your own vehicle and confidence in driving school vehicles for off-site activities.
Commitment to working fixed hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.Benefits:
