A-Level Economics Teacher – St Albans

Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire

Salary: From £40,372 per year, pro rata

Hours: Monday and Wednesday mornings

Contract: Part-time, temporary

Start date: ASAP

Teach Now is seeking an exceptional A-Level Economics Teacher to join a successful secondary school in St Albans. This specialist part-time role is ideal for an experienced teacher who can challenge high-achieving students and support them in working towards A and A* grades.

The Role

• Deliver engaging and academically challenging A-Level Economics lessons

• Teach Microeconomics and Macroeconomics with depth and clarity

• Develop students analytical, evaluation and essay-writing skills

• Prepare students thoroughly for A-Level examinations

• Provide focused feedback to improve exam performance

• Use current economic developments to bring the subject to life

• Work collaboratively with the schools existing Economics team
About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification

• Strong and recent A-Level Economics teaching experience

• Excellent subject and examination-board knowledge

• Experience supporting students aiming for top grades

• The confidence to stretch academically able learners

• Availability on Monday and Wednesday mornings
High-level A-Level Economics experience is essential, as this position requires expertise beyond GCSE teaching.
