Description:

Our client, a specialist in the Energy, Defence & Security sectors, is currently seeking an EC&I Quality Inspector to join their team in Barrow on a contract basis. Other sites also poyentially available.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspections and quality surveillance of EC&I installation activities.
Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Inspect electrical containment systems, cable installations, terminations, earthing and bonding systems.
Inspect instrumentation installation activities, including tubing, supports, field devices, and associated control systems.
Monitor contractor workmanship and adherence to quality requirements.
Witness inspections and testing activities as defined within quality plans.
Review and verify construction records, test results, and Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs).
Produce detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.

Job Requirements:

Inspection experience in an EC&I or quality role within a highly regulated industry.
2391 Test & Inspection qualification.
Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices and inspection techniques.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, loop drawings, and instrumentation drawings.
Experience managing quality documentation and inspection records.
Strong report-writing and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

Previous experience in defence or nuclear licensed sites or major nuclear projects.
Understanding of nuclear quality assurance requirements and Lifetime Quality Records.
Internal Auditor qualification.
Knowledge of commissioning and handover processes.
