Astute's Power team is partnered with a leading Energy company for the recruitment of an EC&I Engineer to join their Energy from Waste Power Station in Staffordshire.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for:

The day-to-day management of short term and long term goals which includes preventative maintenance activities to ensure maximum plant availability.
Assist in the delivery of the overall maintenance & engineering strategy, implementing new maintenance techniques & approaches and management of the EC&I budget.
Work alongside the Mechanical Team Leader to ensure work is appropriately allocated and delivered in addition to developing the sites CMMS.
Act as the EC&I lead during planned outages, manage specialist contractors on site.
Ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe manner and in line with company safety policies, safety rules and relevant H&S legislation.
Deputise for the Maintenance Manager as and when required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Ideally a HNC, or similar, in a relevant engineering subject such as Electrical/Electronics/Measurement and Control Engineering
IOSH/NEBOSH will be advantageous
HV SAP Experience will be advantageous

Personal skills, qualification and experience

The EC&I Engineer role would suit someone who has:

Proven supervisory / management experience in heavy process engineering environments such as - Waste to Energy, Biomass, Cogeneration / CHP, CCGT Power Station, Refinery, Pharmaceutical etc.
Experience in maintaining and working on a variety of instrumentation, electrical and control system equipment (DCS, Siemens PLC, temperature, level, pressure, flow, switch gear, motors, drives, transformers etc).
Contract management experience.
Experience of maintenance techniques including vibration analysis, laser alignment, thermography, oil analysis etc
