Early Years Teacher (Level 3)

We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Early Years Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Upminster. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children at the start of their educational journey, creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

This opportunity is ideal for both experienced teachers and ECTs who have a genuine passion for Early Years education and child development.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS Framework.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Support children's academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress.
Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support learning at home.
Deliver high-quality indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
Promote children's independence, confidence, and curiosity.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and safeguarding.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching within EYFS or Early Years settings.
A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A creative and child-centred approach to teaching.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable Skills

Experience teaching Reception.
Knowledge of phonics programmes such as Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., or similar.
Experience supporting children with SEND.
Ability to create engaging outdoor learning opportunities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
