EYFS Teaching Assistant needed in Huntingdon

We are working with a fantastic teaching assistant with EYFS experience to work within one of our partner primary schools based close to Huntingdon. This is a full time position which would suit someone who has experience working in an early years setting either within a school or private Nursery

We have also have full time and potentially permanent roles as well as day to day supply positions in a variety of other schools.

The role of a Teaching Assistant is a varied one and is a fantastic opportunity for those who are looking to start their path into an Education Career

With full and part time positions available we are looking for educators from a range of backgrounds. Experience working within a school setting in a similar role would be ideal but other experience working with young people such as as a Sports Coach, Youth Leader, Drama Groups or anything similar could also be suitable.

Responsibilities

Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans
Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
Observe students' behavior and develop classroom discipline
Create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
Assess students' skills and progress and submit reports to parents
Collaborate with other teachers to help improve children's learning experience
Track student progress and submit reports to parents
Follow all safety and health codes and requirements of the school district
Comply with all policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the school districtExperience

Previous experience working with children 3-5 years old preferred (or willing to train)
Knowledge of Early Childhood Education best practices preferred (or willing to learn)
Working knowledge of the Early Childhood Curriculum preferred (or willing to learn)
Basic math skills preferred (or willing to learn)
Ability to work well with othersApplication
