Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the School We are a friendly, inclusive, and nurturing primary school in Lambeth committed to providing every child with the best possible start to their educational journey. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team and support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role As an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff to provide high-quality support for children in Nursery and Reception. The role may involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language needs, developmental delays, or social and emotional needs.

Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
Support children's learning through play-based and structured activities.
Help develop communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence skills.
Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, therapists, and parents.
Assist with implementing EHCP targets and individual support plans.
Monitor and record pupil progress and contribute to review meetings.
Support positive behaviour management strategies.
Assist with personal care where required, maintaining dignity and safeguarding at all times.The Successful Candidate Will Have
Experience working with children in an Early Years or primary school setting.
Knowledge of SEND, particularly Autism and communication needs.
A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or SEND support are desirable but not essential.We Offer
