Pay Rate: £18 -£19 per hour (UMB)

Contract: Ongoing

Shift Patterns:

Monday – Friday, 30 hours a week

9am – 3pm

About the Role

Nocturnal Recruitment Solutions are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join a children's centre based in Camden Town, London. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an early year, nursery or children's centre environment, who is an enthusiastic, reliable practitioner passionate about early years development and able to build positive relationships while maintaining a professional environment. The centre we are recruiting on behalf of are offering full-time hours throughout the week with 9am – 3pm shifts with a 30-minute break, Monday to Friday.

Role Overview

You will support babies to young children from ages 2-5 with SEND to enhance their learning, development and wellbeing whilst helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for children. We are looking for someone to support children in reaching key developmental milestones and improving school readiness, while working closely with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to deliver an inclusive and supportive early years service.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality care, support and learning opportunities for children aged 0–5 in a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.

*

Support children's learning and development through age-appropriate activities.

*

Plan and participate in engaging play and educational activities.

*

Encourage children’s independence, confidence and positive behaviour through appropriate routines and positive reinforcement.

*

Work closely with parents and carers, providing feedback about children’s progress and encouraging them to support learning at home.

*

Observe development and contribute to relevant records and assessments.

*

Maintain a strong focus on safeguarding and child protection, recognising and reporting concerns in line with the Children’s Centre's procedures.

*

Promote inclusive practice, ensuring all children have equal opportunities to participate and develop.

Essential Requirements

*

Relevant Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Early Years or childcare, as required by the setting.

*

Previous experience working with young children in an early years, nursery or children's centre environment.

*

Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development

*

Caring, compassionate and enthusiastic approach.

*

Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

*

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

*

Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure

*

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

*

Self-motivated, proactive and adaptable nature

*

Right to work in the UK

*

Enhanced DBS clearance
