Early Years Practitioner – Level 3

Location: Bicknacre / Danbury, Essex
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available
Qualification: Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification required

We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming and community-focused nursery setting across Bicknacre and Danbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional who is committed to providing high-quality care, education and learning experiences for young children.

The successful candidate will become an important part of the nursery team, helping to create a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel confident to explore, learn and develop.

The setting takes a child-led approach to learning, with a strong focus on Curiosity, Hygge, Loose Parts, Forest-Led and Montessori-inspired play. The team also places a strong emphasis on school readiness, helping children develop the skills, confidence and independence they need for their transition into school.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality care, education and support to children in the early years
Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment
Support children's individual development, learning and wellbeing
Plan and deliver engaging activities based around children's interests and development
Follow the EYFS framework and contribute to children's learning journeys
Encourage curiosity, creativity, independence and exploration
Support child-led and outdoor learning opportunities
Develop positive and professional relationships with children, parents and colleagues
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection
Complete observations and contribute to assessments and individual learning plans
Support the nursery's school-readiness programme
Work effectively as part of a wider Early Years team
Contribute to the continued development of excellent practice within the setting
The Ideal Candidate:

Holds a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare
Has previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
Has a strong understanding of the EYFS
Has a genuine passion for working with young children
Is enthusiastic, reliable and highly motivated
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
Is creative and enjoys developing engaging learning opportunities
Understands the importance of safeguarding and children's wellbeing
Is committed to providing outstanding care and education
Can work effectively within a team and build strong relationships with children and families
