Adecco are currently recruiting for a Early Years Funding Manager for a Local Authority in the West London area.
Senior Early Years Funding Manager
Public Sector - Local Authority
Full-time position
Monday- Friday, 36 hours per week
£22.83 per hour PAYE or £30.52 per hour Umbrella
Temporary role - 3-month assignment (possibility of extension)
Enhanced DBS required
Hybrid role, with an expectation of coming into the office for induction, and then as necessary, e.g. team meetings/training - as an estimate twice monthly after induction.
You work in a team that delivers a high-quality service to Hounslow families, Early Years childcare providers, Council colleagues and outside agencies.
Your professional accountability is to ensure that Local Authority statutory duties relating to the administration of the free childcare entitlement schemes are met. You will ensure all practice is compliant with relevant statutory guidance documents as well as Hounslow governance arrangements.
You will need a good working knowledge of free entitlement funding, online funding portals and childcare sufficiency legislation that enables to you manage a small team, provide support to providers of early education as well as to families with children under the age of 5 in Hounslow.
Ensure that the journey and experience for parents with children under 5, and Early Years childcare providers in Hounslow, is the very best that it can be.
Manage and oversee all the administration, processes and procedures relating to the under 2, 2-, 3- & 4- year-old funding schemes. This includes:
facilitating payments to providers for their Early Years funding claims including the Early Years Pupil Premium
inputting the data for the statutory Early Years Census return/s, including uploading data from Synergy to COLLECT and submitting to the Department of Education
contributing to budget modelling for forthcoming financial years
identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.Must have experience with spreadsheets and database (preferably Synergy), 2) experience of budget management, and 3) ability to interpret government guidance, preferably with experience in Early
