About Us:

The Puddleduck Nursery is a small nursery in Nunhead, South East London, conveniently located close to many transport links such as Brockley, Nunhead and Peckham. We provide Early Education to children aged 1 - 5 years old and have been operating in the area for 27 years.

Our Vision:

To support the development of young children with a Froebelian approach, offering good quality experiences with qualified and experienced early years educators.

Our Team:

We are a small and dedicated team working together to offer a wide range of experiences and learning opportunities.

There are regular training opportunities through a variety of providers, including 4 Inset days each year for team development

The Puddleduck Nursery is offering an opportunity to join our team as we develop and expand to meet the changing needs of Early Years provision.

In particular, we would value knowledge and experience in working with the very youngest of our children aged 1 -2 years.

This is a full-time permanent position for a Level 3 (or working towards) qualified person.

Working closely with the management and staff team to create a safe learning environment for children to develop and grow holistically through their play
Support the manager in the development and implementation of progress and changes within the sector
Developing enabling environments which meet individual needs in line with the Froebelian approach
Carefully observing children's learning and development and documenting this
Planning in the moment and implementing learning experiences in alignment with the EYFS framework
Building positive relationships with children and families
Adhering to the nursery's safeguarding policy at all timesThe Candidate:

A full and relevant Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare such as EYE, NVQ, CACHE or recognised equivalent
A good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Experience working in a nursery environment
