£15,985-£20,259 per annum (£26,642 - £33,766 pro rata)

Who are we looking for?

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as an Early Years Course Leader within their education department. The role involves leading and delivering a variety of courses tailored to early childhood education, focusing on nurturing the development of children from infancy to early school years.  This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children by providing high-quality early childhood education and fostering their growth and development during this crucial stage of life. 

A degree or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education related experience is highly preferred.

Possession of a certificate in education or a willingness to pursue one is valued.

Proficiency in early childhood development theories and EYFS frameworks, including knowledge of relevant educational frameworks and regulations, is essential.

Experience in designing and implementing engaging and age-appropriate learning activities for young children is advantageous.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders are important aspects of the role.

The successful candidate will be committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports the holistic development of young children.

Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
