Are you passionate about supporting children in their early years?
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join a friendly team based in Newport. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who enjoy working with young children and are keen to start or develop a career in early years education. The successful candidate will be committed to providing high-quality childcare and helping to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

The Role
You will support children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, helping to create a calm, welcoming, and safe environment where children feel confident to explore, learn, and develop independently.
Key Skills
We are looking for nursery professionals who demonstrate:
Supporting children’s learning through play and planned activities
Assisting with daily routines such as meals, naps, and outdoor play
Ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
A genuine interest in working with children
A warm, patient, and reliable personality
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and complete required training
No previous childcare experience needed
