Are you a caring and enthusiastic Level 3 Nursery Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a friendly and nurturing pre-school environment?
GSL Education is working closely with a lovely pre-school setting in Chelmsford that is seeking a dedicated Level 3 qualified Nursery Assistant to join their team on a term-time only basis, starting as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a warm, welcoming setting where children are encouraged to learn through play, creativity, and exploration.
About the Role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will support children within the pre-school setting, helping to create a fun, engaging, and safe environment where young learners can thrive.
The role offers a mixture of shift patterns across the week, including:
8:00am – 3:00pm (3 days per week)
9:00am – 6:00pm (2 days per week)
The setting can also offer some flexibility with timings for the right candidate.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities
Creating a positive, nurturing, and stimulating environment
Assisting with daily routines, snack times, and outdoor play
Encouraging children’s communication, confidence, and independence
Working closely with the Early Years team to support children’s progress
Following safeguarding and welfare procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (essential)
Experience working within a nursery or pre-school setting
A warm, patient, and enthusiastic personality
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Someone who is reliable, proactive, and passionate about Early Years education
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
