Early Help, Education and SEND Performance Manager – Children’s Services  
Initial 3–6-month interim contract (opportunity for temp to perm)
£400 per day (flexible dependent on experience)
Inside IR35, Via FCSA Umbrella
South East Local Authority
 
This role is being offered on a hybrid basis with the expectation of 1-2 days per week on site. CVs are being reviewed immediately with interviews taking place on Friday 28th June.  
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in the South East to lead the Early Help, Education and SEND Performance Team. The aim is to make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people in the county, by providing high quality performance analysis to inform and support the rapid improvement of Children’s Services.
 
About your role as Early Help, Education and SEND Performance Manager:

Strategic lead for the delivery of performance and management information across children’s services and related other service units and external partners.
To manage the production of timely, accurate and accessible performance management and management information for all levels within the local authority children’s services, wider LA and partnerships.
To produce performance frameworks for all areas of Early Help, Education and SEND, including business cycles, reporting, score cards and high-level analysis.
Need to be able to commit to 1-2 days per week on site working.
To be a member of CSC and Children’s Performance senior management teams to advise and support senior managers in developing and setting performance and outcome targets and systems to monitor progress.
Working collaboratively and networking are key as you will be working closely with other teams and services.
You will be pivotal in leading the data and evaluation elements of the SEND and Education Improvement journey, new service delivery model and the Family Hub Transformation Programme and will have knowledge and experience of overseeing statutory returns.  Your required experience as Early Help, Education and SEND Performance Manager:

Evidence of being a highly motivated and experienced leader with extensive experience of strategic analysis and building cohesive, effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Experience working as a manager with strong knowledge around Education and good understanding of the challenges around SEND, some experience in Children’s Services would be extremely beneficial.  
Able to lead a complex multi-agency project or programme to specified outcomes.
Can lead teams to maximise effectiveness
Commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people and families.
