We are seeking a dedicated and passionate EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teaching Assistant who speaks fluent Pashto to join our vibrant and inclusive school community in Barnet. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who are new to the English language, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with EAL needs, focusing on those who speak Pashto.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for EAL students.
Work collaboratively with teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment.
Deliver one-on-one and small group support sessions to help students improve their English language skills.
Help students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
Monitor and report on the progress of EAL students to teachers and parents.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that celebrates cultural diversity.

Requirements:

Fluent in Pashto and English.
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an EAL capacity.
Strong understanding of the challenges faced by EAL students and strategies to support their learning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A relevant qualification in education or support work is desirable but not essential.
