To support our continued ambitious growth plans, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Dynamics 365 CE and Policy Systems Technology Manager to join our fantastic IS team. What are we looking for?   This role offers an outstanding opportunity to join our business at a key moment our evolution and to make a lasting impact on our technology organisation and landscape.   We are a rapidly growing Private Equity backed business and are highly acquisitive in the engineering Testing, Inspection and Consultancy sector.  Our Group currently comprises 1800 office and field force staff across 15 businesses, more half of which have been acquired in the last 2-years.  Our strategy is to consolidate all acquired businesses onto our standard Group operating model which makes extensive use of shared IT infrastructure and application services. As a senior manager with our technology team, your responsibilities will fall into four main areas: Firstly, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the portfolio of improvement work relating to our Group Sales, CRM and Policy Administration systems (built on Dynamics 365 CE platform with multiple Azure App Service based satellite systems).  You will be expected to contribute to functional, process and pricing logic design improvements as well as managing the delivery of project work.  Secondly, you will be responsible for manging the production support of these systems working closely with business operations staff and management.  A key goal for your project delivery work is to minimise the requirement for manual production support post go-live. In production systems support role, you will also be responsible for monitoring and managing improvements to data quality. Thirdly, you will lead the team of 5+ business analysts with responsibility for coaching them to improve their skills and managing their assignment to and performance on projects.  You will also lead the recruitment of new team members in support of our business growth plans. Fourthly, you will be responsible for the continuous improvement of methods and tools relating to requirements gathering, process design and user accepting testing to improve to the quality, predictability, and performance of our systems delivery work. We are a relatively small IS team tasked with a significant responsibility for improving our business.  To succeed, this role demands someone with passion for system delivery who is able communicate with ease with senior business leads, end users of our systems as well as your colleagues on the IS team. What will I be doing?   Ownership for the product backlog relating to our Group Sales CRM, Engineering Inspection Policy Admin (built on Dynamics 365) and eTrade systems and managing proposals for systems releases through our investment approval process. Working with business analysts, end users and architects and to define and evolve the backlog. Working closely with operational stakeholders to ensure that project goals and objectives are aligned to business needs. Ensuring that all team members are aligned with project objectives and working towards common goals. Project Management of system delivery work leading a team of Business Analysts following agile methods with our South African based software development team Management of production support requests to enable efficient, high-quality business operations. Ownership for business data quality of operational systems and, defining and leading work to improve data quality where required. Line management responsibility for a team of 5-10 business analysts, system support analysts and data administrators. Contributing to and ideally owning the pricing logic and process architecture relating to our engineering inspection policy admin system. Owning and evolving our requirements analysis, processing mapping and user acceptance test method, and ensuring that the method is known across the team and followed on projects. Leading the development of Power Platform skills across the business analyst team in order leverage our investment in Power Platform technology to solve point problems across our operations. At least 5-years’ experience as a Project Manager and/or Senior Business Analyst working on the delivery of new implementation or major improvement projects to Policy Admin and CRM systems. System delivery experience on multiple projects encompassing: leading requirements gathering, process design and user acceptance test work on multiple projects along with a solid understanding of the other methodology relating to each. Working with development teams (on-shore and off-shore) following an agile method to prepare business system releases. Experience line managing team managers and the recruitment of new team members.
