We are currently seeking a Domestic Violence Abuse (DVA) Support Worker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a DVA Support Worker, you will deliver quality support services for men, women and their children/dependents who have experienced domestic abuse.

Providing a safe and empowering environment for our service users, you will manage a caseload whilst ensuring the effective day to day management and smooth operation of the refuge.

You will actively manage new referrals from relevant agencies and individuals, conducting assessment interviews and risk assessments and obtaining information from agencies.

Additionally, you will:

- Oversee risk management and rent collection
- Issue occupancy agreements and induct new service users
- Assist with welfare and benefits applications
- Advocate for and support service users to take up their housing and legal rights
- Promote service user empowerment

About You

To be considered as a DVA Support Worker, you will need:

- Experience delivering support to adults from diverse backgrounds with complex needs in a supported environment
- Experience undertaking individual assessments
- Knowledge of strategies to empower service users to address issues of DVA
- An understanding of local and national approaches to tackling domestic abuse
