Durasteel Fixer / Dryliner
Location: Lewisham High Street
Start Date: 14/09/2026
Working Hours: 08:00 – 16:30
Duration: Approximately 2 weeks
Rate: £220 per day
Number of Operatives Required: 2
The Role
We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Durasteel Fixers / Dryliners to work on a project based in Lewisham, South East London.
The successful candidates will be carrying out the installation of Durasteel fire-rated partition and wall systems. This is a hands-on role requiring operatives who are confident working independently and have previous experience installing Durasteel or similar fire-rated wall and partition systems.
Candidates with a strong background in drylining, partitioning, interior systems or fire-rated boarding will also be considered, provided they have relevant experience with Durasteel systems.
Responsibilities
Installing Durasteel fire-rated wall and partition systems
Measuring, cutting and accurately fixing Durasteel panels
Installing and working with associated framing and support systems
Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with drawings and specifications
Working safely and efficiently as part of a site team
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship throughout the installation
Following all site health and safety procedures
Keeping the work area clean and organised
Requirements
Previous experience installing Durasteel systems is highly desirable
Alternatively, strong experience in drylining, partition fixing or fire-rated boarding
Experience working with fire-rated walls and partition systems
Ability to work independently and to a high standard
Ability to read and follow drawings and site instructions
Good understanding of health and safety on construction sites
Valid CSCS card required
Own basic tools and PPE
Project Details
This is an approximately 2-week project, with an immediate requirement for 2 reliable and experienced operatives. The successful candidates must be available to start on 14th September 2026 and commit to the duration of the works.
