Position Description:
Durability and Robustness Programme Leader - This role will aim to enhance the customer experience through the design, development, measurement and balance of customer attributes for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles.
The D&R Programme leader role is to ensure all customer expectations for vehicle Durability and Robustness of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles are met or exceeded. This is achieved through attribute target setting & verification using both virtual and physical test methods
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* Support delivery of all Attribute Requirement targets by Gateway Support the Programme Attribute Team to ensure all technical issues are identified and resolved
* Detailed strategy & delivery planning for the attribute covering CAE, Road Load Data, Vehicle and System rig tests and driven vehicle DV activities
* Working with system and component areas to define and maintain cascaded target requirements in support of overall vehicle level targets
* Work with component engineers and suppliers as required to drive resolution of engineering issues
* Deliver technical recommendations and test and issue status reports
* Work on tasks to ensure all lessons learnt from the current vehicle are captured and fed back to the Programme Attribute Team and progressed as necessary
Skills Required:
* Knowledge experience of engineering test activities
* Knowledge experience of automotive technologies or systems
* Project Management experience
Experience Required:
* Broad knowledge of vehicle technologies
* Understanding of Durability Strength principles
* Project management of complex engineering test activities
* Experience of problem solving including application of Root Cause Analysis, 8D, DoE etc.
* Understanding of Systems engineering principles and delivery
* Microsoft package elements Power Point and Excel
Experience Preferred:
* Knowledge Experience of AGILE working principles
* Working knowledge CAD visualisation systems e.g. 3Dx, TeamCentre etc.
* Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross functional experience
