Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Brent seeking to appoint a dedicated DT Technician from September 2026. This full-time role is ideal for individuals with strong practical skills and an interest in Design & Technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or education.

The Role
As a DT Technician, you will provide practical and technical support to the Design & Technology department, ensuring equipment, materials, and resources are prepared and maintained to a high standard.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Preparing materials, tools, and equipment for Design & Technology lessons
Supporting teachers and students during practical classroom activities
Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring resources are readily available
Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials when required
Ensuring workshops and classrooms are organised, clean, and safe
Carrying out routine maintenance checks on machinery and equipment
Supporting health and safety procedures within the department
Assisting with displays, projects, and departmental events where requiredWho the School is Looking For

You should have:
Good practical and technical skills
An interest in Design & Technology, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, or a related field
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Good communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety
