Position: Design and Technology (DT) Teacher - Resistant Materials
Location: Kirklees, West Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2024
Contract Type: Part-Time, 1 Term Contract

Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis for the autumn term. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative DT lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a passion for the subject and supporting student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to engage students in practical and theoretical aspects of DT.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
Contribute to the development of the DT curriculum and resources.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment in the DT workshop.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support whole-school initiatives.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary school level.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for DT.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Desirable:

Experience with a variety of DT specialisms, such as Product Design, Graphics, or Resistant Materials.
