Salary: £150-£220 per day

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:15-15:30

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology (DT) Teacher to join our team at Veritas Education supporting Secondary Schools in Wakefield. The successful candidate will have a strong background in DT education, with the ability to inspire and engage students in practical and theoretical aspects of design, engineering, and technology.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
Create engaging and interactive learning experiences that foster creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
Develop and implement curriculum content in line with national standards and school objectives.
Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their full potential.
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and supported to excel.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the DT department.
Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and other extracurricular activities as required.Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Design and Technology.
Proven experience teaching DT at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement.
Excellent knowledge of DT concepts, techniques, and technologies.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Commitment to professional development and staying abreast of educational trends and developments.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.Benefits:
