Salary: £24,392 with effect from 1st April 2024 to reflect the annual pay award

We are looking to recruit a Driver/Cleaner to become a part of our busy Metworks Service Delivery Team. You will be responsible for ensuring jobs are completed on time and to quality, working with colleagues as necessary in order to complete specified works. The use of systems and technology will be required to complete tasks and process relevant documentation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include...
* Clearances - Garden/loft/house/cellar.
* Gardening ? Mowing grass/Strimming/hedge cutting/tree pruning.
* Various ground working - Lift/relay slabs/install and replace fencing.
* Landscaping - Bark/gravel/membrane installation/levelling gardens/filling in ponds ? including the use of a rotavator.
* Demolition External - removal concrete bases/paths/walls.
* Demolition Internal ? Taking down ceilings and walls/hacking of plaster/breaking up concrete floors/removing kitchens etc.
* Site cleaning - Standard/deep/enviro cleans ? to include animal and human waste.
* Loft insulation - removal/replacement.
* Conduct work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work and recognized industrial standards for such work, minimizing damage to the fabric of the property.
Additional Duties as required?
* Silicone and caulking application to kitchens, bathrooms, windows etc.
* De-nailing and filling/sanding.
* Rake out and re-grouts of tile grout to bathrooms and kitchens.
* Replacement of ? door stops/ Toilet seats/ Shower rails + curtains/lock changes/window handles/key safes etc.
* Decoration ? Painting/prep work including filling holes and sanding down/stripping wallpaper.
* Notify team leader of any associated access issues.
What you'll need to succeed
* Ideally experience of working within a Local Authority, Building/Property Maintenance or Housing Association Environment
* You will need a full UK driving license and will be provided with your own Metworks van for working hours

To meet our commitment to providing safe, high quality services to our customers we will complete a standard background check with the Disclosure and Barring service, once an offer of employment is made. As standard you will be added to the DBS updating service with a new check being carried out on a 3 yearly basis. The cost of a DBS will be paid for by the organisation.
Please note :- we do not currently offer visa sponsorship.
