Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in the Bradford area to recruit a passionate and creative Drama Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through the performing arts and join a supportive school environment with opportunities available for an immediate start or from September.

Applications are welcomed from both experienced Drama teachers and ECTs.

The Role

As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering creativity, confidence, and self-expression in students. You will play an important role in promoting participation in performing arts and supporting extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum expectations
Create a positive and engaging learning environment
Support students in developing performance, communication, and teamwork skills
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Contribute to school productions and enrichment activities where appropriate

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Drama within a UK secondary school setting
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A passion for performing arts and student development
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
