Drainage Engineer – Permanent Position
Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime available
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Drainage Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis, working across Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced drainage professional looking for a long-term position with a well-established business. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive drainage works across a variety of commercial and domestic properties, providing a professional and efficient service to customers.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out planned and reactive drainage works
*
Investigating and diagnosing drainage issues and blockages
*
Clearing blocked drains, toilets, sinks and associated drainage systems
*
Carrying out drain repairs and maintenance
*
Using appropriate drainage equipment and specialist tools
*
Carrying out CCTV drainage surveys where required
*
Identifying defects and recommending appropriate repair solutions
*
Undertaking jetting and mechanical cleaning of drainage systems
*
Working on both internal and external drainage systems
*
Completing job sheets, service reports and relevant documentation
*
Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
*
Maintaining a professional relationship with customers and site teams
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

An experienced Drainage Engineer or Drainage Technician
*
Confident carrying out reactive and planned drainage works
*
Experienced in dealing with blockages, repairs and drainage maintenance
*
Comfortable using professional drainage equipment
*
Able to diagnose problems and identify practical solutions
*
Reliable, punctual and professional
*
Customer-focused with good communication skills
*
Able to work independently and as part of a wider team
*
Flexible and willing to work across different sites
*
In possession of a full UK driving licence
Experience with high-pressure water jetting, CCTV drainage surveys, mechanical cleaning and underground drainage repairs would be advantageous.
