Moxie are currently supporting a well-established domestic violence charity in recruiting for their next domestic violence support worker, based within their Cardiff refuge.

No two days are the same in a refuge support worker role. From helping women to accessing services within the local community, to applying for benefits, to helping women seek out further education/ employment opportunitites, you will play a key role in giving women the tools and opportunities to turn their lives around.

This role will be on a fixed term contract basis, with funding to be confirmed for contract extension in April 2025.

Job Title: Domestic Violence Support Worker - Refuge Based

Job Description: Working as a refuge domestic violence support worker, you will play an integral role within the refuge support team. On a daily basis you will provide person-centred support to women and children fleeing domestic abuse. This will involve liaising with other agencies to ensure the caseload in your care has access to all the support they need, conducting risk assessments as appropriate and following support plans ensuring these are regularly reviewed and updated in line with Llamau's policies.

Rota/Hours: Mon - Fri, 9-5, 35 hours per week (Please note: all DV Support Workers will be part of Llamau's First-tier on-call rotation, providing support and advice as needed.)

Contract Type: Fixed term contract until April 2025, possible extension dependent on securing of funding.

Location: Cardiff Refuge - with some work out in the community as required.

Transport: Access to own vehicle and full,clean UK Driving license essential.

Salary: £22,353 FTE (£1,862.75 per month).

DBS: You will need an enhanced DBS for both the children and adult workforce either on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one.
