Are you a Support Worker who is skilled in supporting people who have experienced domestic violence?

If so, Moxie has a Domestic Violence Support Worker opportunity with a leading and dynamic Housing Association in North Wales, who provide crucial support to victims of domestic abuse.

Job title: Domestic Violence Support Worker
Salary: £26,592 per annum (pro-rata)
Location: Remotely or based in the Bangor, Gwynedd or Anglesey region (North Wales)
Hours: Mon to Fri, 35 per week (30 hours per week can also be considered).
Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2025
Start Date: ASAP (May or early June)

Your mission:

Deliver life-changing support to high-risk victims of domestic abuse.
Work within a multi-agency framework, championing safety, stability, and empowerment.
Be the beacon of hope for those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and prioritise high-risk domestic abuse cases.
Develop and implement personalised safety plans.
Advocate for victims, providing essential legal, housing, and emotional support.
Collaborate with agencies and participate in MARAC and court proceedings.
Maintain therapeutic relationships, understanding trauma and attachment issues.
Keep meticulous records and prepare critical reports.
Ensure child protection and safeguarding measures are in place.
Empower victims to regain control of their lives.

Domestic Violence Support Worker - Role Requirements:

Experience supporting people who have experienced domestic abuse or sexual violence.
Skilled in casework, safety planning and risk assessments.
A strong understanding of domestic abuse-related legislation.
An IDVA qualification would be highly desirable, but not essential.
Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
Proficient IT skills, with Microsoft Office 365 and casework systems (experience using Oasis would be highly advantageous).
Detail-oriented with strong administrative abilities.
