4Recruitment Services are seeking a Domestic Abuse Navigator to join a dedicated Domestic Abuse Team in Camden, London.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support women experiencing domestic abuse alongside multiple disadvantages, including homelessness, mental and physical ill health, substance misuse, poverty and social isolation.

You will provide intensive, flexible and trauma-informed support to survivors who may face significant barriers to accessing specialist services. Through assertive outreach and a person-centred approach, you will build trusting relationships, help women improve their safety, access essential services and work towards long-term recovery and independence.

You will manage a small, intensive caseload, working at each survivor’s pace to provide holistic support tailored to their individual needs, circumstances and goals.

Working Arrangements

Candidate will be required to work 3 days per week (21 hours). This is a community-based role requiring regular and extensive outreach across Camden. Support will be delivered in a range of settings, including hostels, temporary accommodation and other community locations. The successful candidate will be required to work from the King’s Cross office at least one day per week.

Key Responsibilities

Build strong, trusting relationships with survivors, providing person-centred and strengths-based support that promotes confidence, independence and positive change.
Conduct regular community outreach to engage women who may struggle to access traditional support services.
Complete risk assessments, develop safety plans and provide crisis and non-crisis interventions to reduce the risks associated with domestic abuse.
Support survivors experiencing housing difficulties, including homelessness, accessing safe accommodation and maintaining tenancies.
Assist with welfare benefits, budgeting, debt management and improving financial independence.
Support survivors to access health services, substance misuse support, education, training, employment and other specialist services.
Advocate for survivors and their children, including accompanying them to appointments, court hearings and meetings with relevant agencies where required.
Coordinate multi-agency support, working closely with housing, health, social care, criminal justice and voluntary-sector services.
Help survivors reduce isolation, rebuild self-esteem and work towards their personal goals.
Contribute to service development and wider advocacy to address the barriers faced by women experiencing domestic abuse and multiple disadvantages.
Essential Requirements

Experience providing frontline support to individuals affected by domestic abuse, gender-based violence and/or multiple disadvantages.
Experience of community outreach, engaging vulnerable individuals and overcoming barriers to accessing services.
Experience conducting risk assessments, safety planning and delivering crisis interventions.
Experience working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals and external support services.
An understanding of domestic abuse, trauma, safeguarding and the impact of multiple disadvantages on survivors and their children.
Knowledge of available support options and the challenges survivors face when accessing housing, health, welfare and specialist services.
Recruitment is done in line with safe recruitment practices. 4Recruitment Services is an equal opportunities employer.
