Meridian Business Support are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Document Collection & Delivery Driver to join a growing records management business based in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role that combines driving, warehouse duties, stock auditing and customer service. The successful Document Collection & Delivery Driver will initially support a key auditing project before moving into a predominantly collection, delivery and records management role, with genuine potential to secure a permanent position after 13 weeks.

As a Document Collection & Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for handling confidential records, ensuring accurate tracking of files and boxes, and providing a professional service to customers across South Wales and the South West.

Key responsibilities include:

Auditing storage boxes and records to verify inventory accuracy and report discrepancies
Picking, locating and storing files and archive boxes within secure storage facilities
Completing daily collections and deliveries using company vehicles
Loading and unloading stock safely whilst following manual handling procedures
Using handheld barcode scanners to accurately record document movements
Preparing customer orders and ensuring records are correctly processed for storage or transport
Maintaining high standards of customer service when visiting client sites
Following GDPR, quality, health and safety, and company procedures at all times
Assisting with document registration and records management activities when required
The initial audit project is physically demanding and involves working within storage containers where access can be restricted. Boxes may need to be retrieved from floor level, lower shelving and above head height, making this role well suited to someone who is physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces.
Once the project has been completed, the Document Collection & Delivery Driver role will focus mainly on document collections, deliveries, picking duties and warehouse support activities. Routes typically include around 10 collections and deliveries each day across South Wales and the South West.

To be considered for this Document Collection & Delivery Driver position, you will have:

A full UK driving licence with a clean driving record
Access to your own vehicle for travelling to and from work
Good levels of physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling duties
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling confidential records
Good communication and organisational skills
A positive, reliable and team-focused approach
Previous experience as a Van Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Warehouse Operative, Records Assistant, Archive Operative, Stores Operative or Logistics Assistant would be beneficial, although full training will be provided.
