DIVISIONAL MANAGER

What will you do?

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be a dynamic and results-oriented individual responsible for overseeing the operations of two key warehousing sites encompassing approximately 1.5 million square feet and leading a team of around 100 employees.

This role is pivotal in delivering our business's strategic objectives whilst upholding our operational excellence across four critical pillars: People & Development, Health & Safety, Customer Service & Continuous Improvement, and Profit & Loss.

You will play a key part in ensuring a professional and consistent approach to the management of your teams, customers and supplier relationships. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator at all levels, flexible and proactive in their approach to ensure sites operate at peak efficiency.

Objectives of the role of Divisional Manager, include, but are not limited to:

* Leadership and Strategy Execution: Lead and inspire a large team across multiple sites to achieve operational targets and strategic goals aligned with the company's vision and values.

* Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations, optimising workflows and resource allocation to meet customer demands and business objectives.

* People and Development: Foster a positive and engaging work culture centered around our operational pillars. Implement strategies for talent development, coaching, and succession planning to nurture a high-performing team.

* Health and Safety: Prioritize and enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

* Customer Service: Drive a customer-centric approach, continuously enhancing service levels and responsiveness to exceed customer expectations.

* Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, implementing initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline processes.

* Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of sites, managing budgets, analysing P&L statements, and implementing strategies to maximise profitability.

Your CV and experience show:

* Proven experience 5+ years in a senior management role within logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.

* In-depth understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.

* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.

* Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence and delivering business results.

* Passion for creating a positive and inclusive work environment focused on employee development and engagement.

* Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.

* Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
