This is an excellent opportunity to join an acclaimed, value-driven NHS Trust who pride themselves on delivering safe and effective care, with the patient at the heart of everything they do.
The Divisional Finance Manager will be a member of the Divisional Board, working closely with the senior finance team to provide expert financial guidance, ensuring a consistent approach to decision making.
Key responsibilities:
* Support on all aspects of the financial planning and management of the Division, including budget setting and triangulation of Expenditure, Income and Performance
* Provide accurate financial management information to the Senior Divisional Finance Manager as part of the monthly reporting cycle
* Work with the Clinical Director, Divisional General Manager and other senior managers to identify reasons for variations in financial performance
* Produce a monthly re-forecast based upon current/planned activity and financial performance
* Provide monthly performance reports to inform Divisional Performance and Delivery Meetings and Divisional Boards
* Work with the Division and Project Management Office to identify cost reduction and efficiency programmes
* Work with Costing and PLICS leads to provide management information for the Division
* Support in establishing a Divisional financial strategy that is consistent with the overall Trust and ICS objectives and strategic direction
* Support the Trust in forecasting for the annual business planning cycle and in year monitoring
* Lead on all financial aspects of the transformation workstream including business cases
* Contribute to the development of a growing portfolio of business intelligence products to support decision-making
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with prior experience in a Financial Management post within the NHS. You will be a strong leader, committed to improvement, and possess outstanding communication skills to effectively advise, influence and convey financial information to non-finance colleagues.
This is a hybrid role, requiring the individual to work on site in the East Midlands as well as remotely.
