Yolk Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading organisation within the construction materials sector in the search for a Distribution Coordinator to join their busy operations team based in Pontypridd.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business where you'll play a vital role in coordinating customer orders, scheduling deliveries and ensuring customers receive a first-class service. You'll work closely with planning, commercial and production teams in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service experience looking to develop a career within logistics and distribution.

What you'll be doing

Answering inbound customer calls and emails, delivering a professional and friendly service.
Processing customer orders accurately using internal systems.
Scheduling and coordinating deliveries in collaboration with the planning team.
Keeping customers informed of delivery times and proactively communicating any delays.
Taking ownership of customer enquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
Handling customer complaints professionally and escalating where appropriate.
Monitoring orders through to completion to ensure an excellent customer experience.
Processing customer payments and maintaining accurate records.
Working closely with commercial, production and haulage teams to ensure orders are fulfilled.
Supporting general administration and providing assistance across the wider distribution team when required.What we're looking for

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
A proactive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
Previous experience within logistics, transport, aggregates, asphalt or construction materials would be advantageous, but is not essential, as full in-house training will be provided.What's on offer
