Description:

Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Distribution Administrative Assistant to work for a manufacturer in Witney, Oxfordshire on a full time, contract basis.

Role: Administrative Assistant

Salary: £24,000

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Hours: 39.5 per week - Mon-Fri (8am to 5pm)

Key Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:

Price check invoices from external carriers and fuel suppliers
Maintain performance records of external carriers.
Maintain accurate and up to date records for all Transport related operations.
Produce delivery paperwork for our own lorries and provide the correct documents for external carriers.
Answer incoming calls relating to deliveries.
Make outgoing calls to customers to discuss delivery arrangements.
Book deliveries with external carriers to meet delivery deadlines.
Provide ETAs to customers and other internal departments.
Other related administrative tasks as required.

About you:

A good communicator with a friendly and confident telephone manner
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft packages.
Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution operation or working with Logistics Companies.
Good knowledge of Microsoft packages and good IT skills.
