Description:
We are seeking a Dispatch & Warehouse Operative to join a well-established, local business here in Aylesbury. This is being offered on a permanent basis.
The purpose of the Dispatch & Warehouse Operative is to work closely with & assist, the Production Manager to achieve the required standards of checking & packing of finished goods and of course, the dispatch of orders.
The role is categorised into 2 main areas.
Dispatch:
* Ensuing consignments are packed and labelled correctly
* Ensuing consignments being dispatched securely and in accordance to customer requirement
* Checking all dispatch items have correct supporting documentation
* Stock control – ensuring goods have been booked pre dispatch
* Stock picking
Warehouse:
* Ensuring all goods in received match purchase orders
* Booking in of all deliveries
* The safe loading/handling/unloading of all material
* The safe racking/free standing of all material
* Ensuring all components are replenished daily and all pallets are unpacked, and wrapping is removed
* All cores and boxes to checked daily and topped up as required
* Inventory control & stock put away of incoming deliveries
* Changing bins and cages, making sure all production waste streams are in optimum state for use
* To ensure that all types of material in stock are marked and in correct location
* To keep a safe tidy and clean place of work for you, other employees, and any visitors
The ideal candidate we are seeking should:
* Be flexible in their work approach – there may be the occasional need to work different hours
* Be a team player & personable
* Have proven experience in a similar role – Warehousing, stock controller etc
* Forklift license / experience – ideally, a REACH would be required
* Proficient with IT – basic MS packages, training to be provided on internals
The working hours for this position will be 13:45 – 21:45 – Monday to Friday.
You will be offered a permanent role, with a salary of between £23,000 -£26,000 depending on experience. 28 days holiday, upto 33 with continued service, there are also companywide schemes and incentives.
