An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Director of Shared Ownership to join a leading organisation operating within the housing and affordable housing sector.

This role will be the main point of contact between the membership code and the wider affordable housing sector (both public and private) and the face of the Shared Ownership division within the organsation

Lead the strategy to support to Registered Providers (RP's), initially during the mobilisation phase to get them registered and then longer term to help them meet the requirements of the Shared Ownership Code.

Objectives:

* Drive registration and retention of RPs with the Code.

* Lead the evolution of the Code to continue raising the standards across the sector.

* Raise the profile of the Code and reputation of tenure.

Role:

* Develop strong relationships with key industry stakeholders including but not limited to the National Housing Federation, Shared Ownership Council, Housing Ombudsman, etc.

* Represent on the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

* Manage a small team

* Develop the plan to provide support and guidance to RPs and those considering registration.

* Work with the Comms team to deliver a robust RP value proposition and communicate improvements in the media and across the sector.

* Use research, insight and best practice examples to evolve and improve the Code and the guidance for RPs.

* Ownership of resources to support the Code, including the training e-module and FAQ documents for RPs and consumers.

* Consider how code compliance can be managed in future years.

* Lead the Shared Ownership Industry panel and consumer panel.

* Support the wider team in understanding the sector and the challenges they face.

* Create regular operational update reports for the Shared Ownership Committee and Board.

Your Experience

We are looking for an established housing professional with significant shared ownership experience.

You will ideally have:

* Proven experience working with shared ownership, including a strong understanding of the shared ownership customer journey.

* Experience within a housing association, Registered Provider, local authority or wider affordable housing environment.

* Experience dealing with shared ownership customers and complaints.

* Previous management or senior leadership experience within the housing sector.

* Strong knowledge of the challenges facing the shared ownership and affordable housing sector.
