Overview:

Nuttall is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to lead our manufacturing operations, including our Warehouse and Logistics department, at our facility in Dudley. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in leveraging our UK manufacturing capability to deliver exceptional results for our customers.

We consolidate third-party equipment too and dispatch single comprehensive deliveries to ensure our installs run with absolute reliability. This approach results in fewer headaches for our customers and delivers a more sustainable approach, helping us reduce our impact on the environment.

In this multi-faceted role, you will oversee all aspects of the Manufacturing process, as well as our Warehouse and Logistics operations, ensuring that we maintain our high standards of quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing production schedules, and leading a team of skilled professionals to achieve operational excellence. Your strategic vision and hands-on leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that Nuttall continues to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement manufacturing strategies and processes that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

* Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

* Oversee the procurement of raw materials, equipment, and supplies needed for the manufacturing process.

* Manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers.

* Continuously improve manufacturing processes and implement lean principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

* Lead the Warehouse and Logistics team to ensure that inventory levels are maintained and that products are shipped to customers in a timely manner.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth and effective communication.

* Ensure the optimisation of the maintenance function and its systems for plant efficiency.

* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics operations.

* Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations in the workplace.

* Experience and understanding of ERP System is highly desirable.

* Responsibility for the Drawing Office to ensure seamless actively between the two areas.

Qualifications and Skills:

* 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations management role, with responsibility for warehouse and logistics operations.

* Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

* Demonstrated ability to develop and implement manufacturing strategies and processes that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

* Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
